How does a sex change work?

From what I understand, if a female gets a sex change, they get a penis put on them. I wanted to know if that penis actually has feeling in it. And where do they get the penis from in order to put it on the girl during her sex change?

It is not so much one being put on as it is a matter of reshaping the material already there. It is a process of stretching the skin and underlying tissue until you have enough extra to stitch into a tubular shape. It will have feeling because it is your own skin. It will not feel like OEM equipment. It is a much harder procedure than the male to female transition.
