How do you make sex less painful?

I haven't had sex with the guy I am currently seeing yet, but from the size of him, sex is really going to hurt. Any other helpful tips other than using lube to make things a little better????

just use alot of lube or something lubeish, even saliva. and just ask him to go in slowly and make sure you relax. and maybe he could even finger you before or something like that.
